Ignition sources within potentially explosive atmospheres must be controlled to reduce the risk of an explosion. Hence Explosion protected certified (fixed and mobile) equipment is used and installed. Chinese and International standards require the effective management of this equipment which dictates the need for integrity inspection when first installed and periodically thereafter to ensure the explosion protected equipment remains effective and intact.

IEC/EN 60079-17 and GB 3836-16 provides clear guidance with respect to types of inspections and appropriate regimes, which in turn is used by Ex- Consulting to provide the foundation of a structured framework to perform efficient, effective equipment and installation inspections.
